Part 6: The Order Of The Violet Rose
The Elder was a woman of ancient lineage—the kind that birthed ancient magick through a deep connection and reverence for Mother Earth. This wasn’t just an average lineage—it was The Order of the Violet Rose.
For centuries, the teachings of this sacred lineage were kept underground to protect them from being destroyed during the rise of the church. These teachings held great power for healing and living in union with one another and all of nature.
The Elder was one of the last known living descendants of this lineage. She was a woman of great power who could navigate unseen worlds. She was also highly psychic and communed with nature and her ancestors to ensure the continuation of The Order of the Violet Rose.
The Elder had been left with no one. Aside from the help, she spent the remaining years of her life alone in Rosewood Manor. Though a few other blood relatives still lived, they couldn’t be trusted with Rosewood Manor, for these relatives were from her father’s line and knew nothing of the importance of keeping the lineage alive and well. In fact, they knew nothing of the lineage at all because they would seek to destroy it as passionate followers of church law.
The Elder grew up in this manor, raised by her parents, who were ordained a priestess and a wizard of The Order of the Violet Rose. They taught her all of the magick, told her all of the stories, and trained her in the path of the rose.
The Elder had few friends growing up, as she had to keep most of her life a secret and was seen as the weird kid who lived in a haunted house. She was homeschooled and didn’t mind being teased by the neighborhood kids because she had real friends in unseen realms that she spent endless hours in play and study with. All of them were deeply connected to the land where she lived, which was a highly sacred vortex within Mother Earth.
This made Rosewood Manor a deeply sacred place. Only three vortex portals this powerful existed on the earth plane, and only sacred energy could pass through them. For there were other portals in the world that were used by all sorts of energetic beings, most of which were dangerous. As the Elder grew older, she became a masterful priestess and was honored with the duty of protecting this vortex for eternity.
She’d met a wonderful man early in life, and they fell in love. He was alone because he’d been outcast by his family for refusing to live by church law. It was clear to the Elder that he had a pure, open heart worthy of being inducted into The Order of the Violet Rose.
They had two children and lived quite happily together for many years until “accidental” tragedy struck. But the Elder knew better. Evil beings who sought to destroy The Order of the Violet Rose to gain control of Mother Earth had killed her family. First, her children, along with dozens of other innocents, in a fire at the studio where they took music lessons. Then, they took her husband a month later, making a strategically planned poisoning look like an onset of sudden heart failure.
She knew they left her alive because, without her, they would have no access to the unseen realms they so desired to control. Devastated and angered by the evil committed on her family, the Elder invoked the ultimate protection around her land from anyone who wished it harm. This protection could only be invoked with a power the Elder had been unable to access until the loss of her family.
It was her anger, the inner fire pouring out of her, transmuting and alchemizing all of the evil into goodness and divine strength, that she realized the key to her power… too late.
So, this is the story of the Elder—a necessary piece for the continued protection of The Order of the Violet Rose. This is why she needed to hand over Rosewood Manor to one who could be trusted to continue this lineage and legacy, which leads us back to our favorite witch, Wyndi.

I loved this next chapter Alysia! I especially liked that this elder was in the lineage of the Order of the Violet Rose! The underworld, where true power is understood and revealed. Reminding me of our journey with Inanna and the rose. Also reminding me of our current times, hoping we do not have to lose all that we love in order to wake up and see our power together! 🌹❤️🌹
